I spent my first two years of college at a Big Ten School that was 2 hours from my home.  Like a lot of freshmen,  I thought I knew what I wanted to do, based upon my personality profile, general interest areas, and a very brief  personal experience.  I declared my major in Audiology and Speech Pathology.  Two years later, I realized I had made a mistake.   

Fortunately, most of my credits transferred after I changed my major.  I also decided to change colleges at that time, and I headed off to a smaller, private college 4 hours away from home.  This time, I was certain that I knew what I wanted to do.  I had 2 years under my belt, and wouldn’t make that mistake again!  Another year went by…and guess what?

By this time, my sister had become a nurse, and she was able (I have no idea to this day just exactly how she
